Frank Piasta (Bochum 1967 – active in Freiburg) creates abstract works distinguished by their calm presence, materiality, and finely balanced color compositions. His works emerge from an experimental approach to color, surface, and structure, moving between painting and spatial effect. The resulting visual spaces create a distinctive atmosphere, both in private interiors and in architectural environments.
Following his studies in art education and social sciences, as well as artistic training at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and the Berlin University of the Arts, Piasta has devoted himself consistently to contemporary abstract painting for many years. Since 2000, his work has been presented in national and international exhibitions. His works have been shown in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, among others.
