Design classic, Model MR20 tubular steel cantilever chair in gray leather, designed in 1927 by the designer and architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (03.1886 – 08.1969) for Knoll International.
This example dates from the second half of the 20th century, circa 1970s, produced by Knoll International. At that time, the chairs were marked only with a sticker rather than, as with current models, an engraved mark in the frame. The light gray leather shows an age-related patina, giving the piece particular charm for vintage enthusiasts.
Condition report Chrome-plated frame with age-related wear and signs of use. The leather shows areas of pronounced patina consistent with age. It remains soft and has not hardened. The lacing has been renewed. Underside in gray, reverse side in turquoise; available in uniform gray or another color upon request.
