Walter Schütte (1900 - 1969) was the husband of the famous architect Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky (1897-2000) and also played a key role in the concepts for “Das neue Frankfurt”.
The chair was designed around 1927/28 for the Frankfurt schools.
The chair is made of blue lacquered tubular steel and black lacquered beech wood. The backrest is movable and the seat surface is “ergonomically” molded.
